Review Notes: Preferred common name: hebe 'Great Orme'
Hebe are evergreen shrubs with paired, simple leaves and racemes or spikes of small, 4-lobed, tubular to salver-shaped flowers in summer and autumn.
'Great Orme' is a compact, rounded evergreen shrub to 1.2m, rather open in habit, with narrow, dark green leaves. Flowers small, bright pink fading to white, in dense spikes. can be kept pruned to a desired size

Pests Aphids may be a problem.
Diseases A leaf spot and a downy mildew may be a problem.

Soil Alkaline or Neutral. Moist but well-drained or well-drained. Chalk, Clay, Loam or Sand. Aspect All aspects. Exposed or Sheltered.

Flowers: Pink and White in Summer and Autumn.
Foliage: Dark Green.
Evergreen/Deciduous: Evergreen.

Suggested Plant Uses: Coastal, Cottage/Informal Garden, Flowers Borders and Beds or Low Maintenance
